Paramedics attended to around 20 injured passengers at a crash scene in Edenvale last night.

It is believed that two taxis collided at the intersection of Seventeenth Avenue and Hendrik Potgieter Street shortly before 6pm last.

ER24 along with other emergency services responded to the scene and found a number of people with varying degrees of injuries.

Patients were treated at the scene before they were transported to hospitals by various medical services.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not known and will form part of a detailed police investigation.
