
South Africa currently has 56 364 active Covid-19 cases and recorded 576 423 recoveries thus far.
Covid-19 statistics, dated September 12 and released by the Department of Health, shows an 88,9 per cent recovery rate.

A further 49 Covid-19 related deaths were reported bringing the total number of deaths to 15 427.
An additional 18 620 tests were conducted bringing the total number of tests to 3 902 786.
1 816 new cases were reported bringing the cumulative total to 648 214.
