Ladies club gathers for first meeting of 2021

Anneliese Plettenbacher, founding member of the club and event organiser said the group works hard to raise funds a number of charities.

The ABC Ladies Club held its first meeting for 2021 recently. The theme for the day was Valentine’s.

Members of the club and their guests were treated to a brunch at Giglio Boutique Hotel and Restaurant as well as a show of the latest fashion trends from Bedfordview-based Gilda’s Fashions.

Gilda has been a household fashion name in Bedfordview for the last 30 years. She roped in young models Racquel du Plessis and Kelly de Aguiar for the show.

Anneliese Plettenbacher, the founding member of the club and event organiser, said the group works hard to raise funds for several charities.

For February, the women of the club managed to raise R2 000 for Little Eden as well as R1 500 for the Jan Hofmeyer Soup Kitchen.

Baby jumpers and donated clothes were also handed over to organisations in need. The club’s next meeting will take place on March 18 at the Jewellery Connection in Bedfordview.

The cost of the event, which will run from 10am to noon, will be R130 for members and R150 for non-members.
