Divas do it best in Bedfordview

Bedfordview’s Cooking Divas, Paola Catinella and Simona Panter, have shown what could be done when will is the only way.

The two launched Cooking Divas during the hard lockdown in 2020 when their travel industry business could not operate.

“We needed to do something and we both love food and cooking,” said Paola.

She added they both also love visiting local markets and couldn’t think of a better way to bring together everyone they’d met and become friends with over the years than by hosting their own market.

And, that is exactly what they did.

On August 28, the Cooking Divas hosted their first pop-up market in Pamin Road.

The market attracted stores selling clothing, swimwear, bags, jewellery, ceramics, art, skincare and more.

Cooking Divas saw to it that there was always fresh food on sale, with visitors loving the fresh gnocchi, coffee and baked goods.

Paola told the NEWS the two hope to have another market later in the year or early next year.
