EHS learners express creativity at recital

The recital's theme was animals, but other classic poems could also be chosen, and some learners chose to write their own poems.

Learners at Edenvale High School recently gathered in the lifestyle centre for a poetry recital.

The recital’s theme was animals, but other classic poems could also be chosen, and some learners chose to write their own poems.

Junior learners made use of the recital to show their artistic side in presenting the poem selected by them.

Some titles included The Moth, The Butterfly, The Orang-utan, Wild dog and even a poem written by Maya Angelo.

They entertained the audience and the two adjudicators, Emma Strydom (matric learner who writes poetry) and Michael Hyams, who afterwards presented certificates to the young poets.

Edenvale High congratulated Cassandra Torres for cultivating the love of poetry at the school it also congratulated the learners for participating.
