Elandspark makes rugby history

It made special mention of those who helped the school make history once again and of those who keep the school moving forward.

Elandspark School not only celebrated history this year with 60 years of existence, but also two individuals from the school who recently received awards at the annual Ruggas Awards Ceremony.

Principal Joshua du Plessis and deputy head boy of sport Manqoba Kubeka, received the awards.

Du Plessis won the award for excellence for his contribution to boys’ school rugby. The award was presented to him for his contributions to LSEN school rugby in South Africa over the past 25 years on a provincial and national level. The award highlighted his dedication, administration and commitment to the sport.

Kubeka received the award for LSEN rugby player of the year. Elandspark School said it was the first time this award was presented to an LSEN player by Ruggas.

The school said it was proud that two more learners from LSEN schools each received this award, namely Kubeka and Zinidene Whitebooi from the Eastern Cape.
Elandspark School thanked everyone who voted and dedicated time to make the dreams come true.
It made special mention of those who helped the school make history once again.
