Doctors, staff and departments celebrated at Edenvale Regional Hospital

The awards aim at recognizing the hard work and dedication of staff members.

Edenvale Regional Hospital recently hosted its annual Employee Recognition Awards Ceremony.
Held on May 26, the Gauteng Department of Health’s communications manager of Edenvale Regional Hospital Thabile Mkhatshwa said the awards aim at recognising the hard work and dedication of staff members.
Individuals and departments were awarded in both the clinical and non-clinical departments.

CEO of the hospital, Dr Zakhele Zitha, expressed his gratitude and admiration for the efforts of the staff members who continued to render quality healthcare services during the pressure of the pandemic.
At the ceremony, Smanga Msibi received the Employee of the Year Award while the Accident and Emergency Unit was presented with the CEO’s Award.

In the Best Support Services category, Nokwanda August was announced as the winner while Malose Magongwa took second and Suzan Matjebe third.

Nokuzola Zondi was the winner of the Best Nurse category, Onica Manamela placed second and Vivian Mashishi took third.
Dr Miller took first position in the Best Clinical category with Dr Gwavu in Second and Dr Prior in third.

In the Best Clinical Support category Margot Bradfield walked away with first place, Nomusa Edom took second and Khauhelo Rampoana placed third.

In the category of Best Admin Matthew Mohlapi was announced the winner while Smanga Msibi took second and Nontobeko Zuma third.
Pediatrics won in the Best Unit category followed by Ward 9 and Pharmacy in third.

Lastly in the Best Admin and Support Unit category Laundry and Linen Services claimed first place, Switchboard placed second and Supply Chain (Assets, Procurement and Stores) took third.
