BEDFORDVIEW: Murder investigation launched after man shot on Van Buuren Road
The motive for the shooting is currently unknown and will form part of a detailed police investigation.
Bedfordview SAPS have launched an investigation following the murder of a man in the early hours of this morning, September 1.

According to information received an employee from SANRAL called police officers to a scene on the Van Buuren Road off ramp to the N3.
Spokesperson for the station, Sergeant Lillian Modiga said when officers arrived on scene they found a man lying face down in the road surrounded by a number of firearm cartridges.
“A vehicle parked on the roadside was also riddled with bullet holes,” she said.

The man was declared dead at the scene.
