Police still hunting Bradford Road shooters
Police have said the shooting incident on Bradford Road is being treated as a high case profile while suspects remain at large as the police continue with investigations.
An unidentified woman remains in critical condition after sustaining severe injuries during a shooting incident that took place on Bradford Road in the early hours on February 21.

A gunman fired at the woman’s car eight times while her security escort was shot four times.
The woman, who was travelling in a white BMW and her security escort travelling in a white VW, was targeted by two gunmen at about 07:45.

Police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
The incident occurred minutes after the woman had dropped off her child at a nursery school situated on Bradford Road.
In what appeared to have been an alleged assassination, the police are saying this is a high-profile case.
The woman was targeted inside the nursery yard.

The injured were then rushed to the nearest healthcare facility where they are still receiving medical treatment.

Gauteng police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo said, “The businesswoman had just dropped off her child at a nursery school when she was accosted by the suspect.
“She had just returned to her car and was about to leave the premises. She sustained severe injuries and is still receiving medical attention.”

The police alleged one of the suspects waited for the woman by the entrance while the second suspect targeted the security from the exit point.
The area was experiencing load-shedding at the time of the incident, causing security footage around the area to be non-functioning.

The motive for the shooting is not yet known.
Investigations are underway.
The police have appealed to the public to come forward if they have any information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects.
