Ekurhuleni audits public employment programme beneficiaries
The City of Ekurhuleni is verifying beneficiaries of its public employment programmes across the city until March 11 to ensure opportunities reach the intended residents.
The City of Ekurhuleni is conducting a verification and audit of beneficiaries of Ekurhuleni Public Employment Programme (EPEP) and Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).
The process started on February 25 at Brakpan Civic Centre.
The verification and audit will be conducted until March 11 in different parts of the city.

Job creation and public employment project manager Morris Nkoana said the city has engaged about 3 327 beneficiaries of EPEP and EPWP in the 2024/25 financial year, against a target of 3 221 job opportunities.
“The verification and audit process is key to strengthen accountability, ensuring opportunities reach the people who need them most.
“Residents are encouraged to visit the city’s website on www.ekurhuleni.gov.za for any available work opportunities,” said Nkoana.
