The nappies are for use by the patients centre cares for.

Opened on August 4, 1973, the lodge was in Kempton Park. The name Achill is derived from a small island off the west coast of Ireland.

Today, the centre is in Boksburg and will soon celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Since its establishment, Achill Lodge No 853 has supported many charities east of Johannesburg.

In addition to helping the care centre, the lodge donated blankets and soup jars to the needy and underprivileged in informal settlements and also helped SA Guide-Dogs.
