Better Bedfordview reveals 2023 winner of Best Pavement Competition

Winners for the best pavement competition were announced with a Florence Avenue pavement coming out tops.

A verdant verge in Florence Avenue has been named Bedfordview’s best pavement in the fourth annual Bedfordview Best Pavements Competition.

The NPO Better Bedfordview announced the winners in December.

The competition was initially launched in 2020. “We can all make a positive difference in our suburb by looking after our pavements,” explained the NPO’s chairperson, Marina Constas.

The competition included a category for residential complexes in Bedfordview with San Remo winning first place for this category.

Second place went to 8 St Andrews Avenue and third place to 12 St Andrews Avenue.

The judges also recognised a pristine pavement in Bowling Road and a prize was awarded for the best manicured lawn to a Florence Avenue resident.
