Edenvale woman wins a car from the SA Guide Dogs Association competition

“To be able to win a phenomenal car from a cause so close to my heart makes it all the more special.”

An Edenvale resident was the first winner of The SA Guide Dogs Association’s raffle competition where participants stand the chance of winning a brand-new Suzuki Swift MT.

Launched last March, the competition will see two lucky winners win brand-new Swifts.

The competition aims to raise funds to provide vital life skills, assistive devices and assistance dogs to change the lives of the visually impaired, physically disabled and children on the autism spectrum across SA.

Winner of the SA Guide Dogs Association’s raffle competition, Edenvale resident Andrea Jansen, with her new Suzuki Swift. Seen with her are guide dogs Carli and Violet and a representative from Suzuki.

One Saturday afternoon the HOD of marketing phoned me to tell me that my ticket was drawn as the winner.

“I think I said something like are you serious? How did I win a car I asked myself?”

Andrea said although there was much laughter she was in disbelief and felt overwhelmed.

“It’s a bizarre feeling and quite surreal,” she explained.

Before Andrea drove her brand-new set of wheels off the showroom floor at Suzuki Edenvale, she said, “To be able to win a phenomenal car from a cause so close to my heart makes it all the more special.”
