Sacred Heart College hosts Rocking Future Career Expos
For 24 years, 3RC has supported South African high school learners in discovering the exciting opportunities available to them after school.
The Rocking Future Career Expos, an organisation dedicated to assisting South African school leavers, recently visited Sacred Heart College.
Their mission is to help learners choose the best career path, develop their skills, and find employment in a country facing a critically high youth unemployment rate.

This period can be particularly daunting for those uncertain about what to do or how to secure employment upon completing school.
Through their career expos, the 3RC team, alongside a top-tier selection of tertiary educational institutions, helps learners understand their options and identify careers that align with their personalities, skills, and ambitions.
In 2024, the 3RC team spent five months touring South Africa with their Rocking Future Career Expos. “This journey was nothing short of spectacular.

The level of engagement from learners and educators exceeded our expectations.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, affirming the expo’s role in shaping future careers,” said Kay Cheytanov, 3RC Founder.

The Rocking Future expos visited 231 high schools across Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Gqeberha, and KwaZulu-Natal and distributed 29 423 Future Guide Magazines.
This magazine is aimed at matric learners and is packed with valuable information to educate, motivate, and inspire.
The expos have started with great enthusiasm and are currently taking place at high schools across Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The tours will continue to inspire learners in Pretoria, the East Rand, and KwaZulu-Natal from January to May.
Participation is completely free for learners and schools.
Learners at Sacred Heart in Observatory were abuzz with excitement as they explored the many opportunities available to them.
“Mind-opening, because people don’t realise there are more options available than just traditional universities,” said learner, Merv Bwasa.
Another learner Wesley Sibanda, said: “You learn and understand that doors can be opened. You’re not walking into it blindly because you know there are people to guide you.
“What a fantastic start to our expo tour – thanks to the learners for such a warm welcome. We’re also thrilled to have launched our brand-new initiative – Success Starters,” said Kay.

“We are on a mission to spotlight extraordinary learners in our schools who exemplify passion and dedication.
“We’re looking for young entrepreneurs, talented performers, culinary creators, creative artists, sports champions, and tech innovators. We believe these young minds are the future!
“In April 2025, we will share a link on our website where schools can nominate one outstanding Grade 11 learner from their school.”
