St Andrew’s thrilled with 100% for 37 years
The hard work of the 2025 Class at St Andrew’s Girls has paid off as they uphold the 100% pass rate for the 37th year.
For 37 consecutive years, the St Andrew’s School for Girls has achieved a 100% matric pass rate.
Executive and senior school head at the school, Gill Jeffrey, said they are thrilled with the results.
“Our average for the year was 75.5%, which is phenomenal. The girls worked really hard.
“And while we celebrate our top achievers, we also know that each of our girls achieved a personal best, and that’s to be celebrated as well.

“We achieved an average of 3.4 distinctions per learner, which also shows that the girls worked incredibly hard. It was a large group, and we are very proud of everything that the girls have achieved.”
The statistics below are based on the results of all the Grade 12s at St Andrew’s:
• The 100% pass rate allows all the school’s learners to study at the tertiary level;
• 91 of the 92 learners received a bachelor’s pass (university exemption), and one a diploma pass;
• A total of 314 distinctions;
• 45% of all results were above 80%;
• 75% of subjects had averages greater than 70%;
• 90% of all results were above 60%;
• 86% of all learners achieved a distinction;
• 33 learners completed one or more additional subjects;
• 20 out of 21 subjects were above the IEB average rate.
