Lynde said her reason for entering Mrs Johannesburg 2026 was to use her platform to make a difference not just in her community, but wherever she can.
“As the owner of House of Style Models Pty (Ltd), a modelling academy in Edenvale, I wanted to prove to my students that anything is possible when you apply yourself,” said Lynde.
“Being blessed with students from the age of six years old all the way to Mrs contestants, it was very important for me to show all my students that with hard work and dedication, you can achieve greatness.”
Lynde said the journey to becoming Mrs Johannesburg was fun but also hard work.
She said it wasn’t just hard work in the modelling classroom but also outside of it.
Lynde said she experienced many amazing moments during her journey.
“I was honoured to meet many inspirational women during my journey.

“Women who made me look at each obstacle in my way as a challenge and a learning curve,” said Lynde.

She said on the day of the crowning, one of her fellow contestants needed help.
“Days before the gala, she had to have surgery. She managed to make it to the gala evening, but she still had many stitches in her abdomen, and she was struggling with pain as well.
“Without even blinking, I was happy to step up and help her, making sure she was hydrated, not too hot and that she was ready for the stage.”
Lynde said helping others is a natural instinct for her, and she is extremely proud of it.
