Galway Primary’s future classroom takes shape ahead of fundraising walk
A community-driven initiative is transforming Galway Primary with a future-ready classroom, supported by sponsors and an upcoming fundraising walk.
The construction and development of Galway Primary School’s classroom of the future is well underway.
In April, Walking the Talk Foundation, in partnership with Macsteel, will host a 5km fundraising walk to benefit Galway Primary.
The walk will raise funds, which will go towards Galway Primary’s new language lab.

In the buildup to the walk, through the collaboration of partners and donors, construction of the classroom has already begun.
Founder and director of Walking the Talk Foundation, Dale van Blerk, said the lab will help the school elevate its language curriculum to an international standard.

“We have received incredible support throughout this project, and we are truly grateful for the collaboration model that has been implemented,” said Van Blerk.

“It is making a meaningful impact on the development and transformation of the new language lab, computer, and smart classroom.”
Walking the Talk Foundation would like to thank the following sponsors for their valuable contributions in helping revamp, equip, and restore the classroom:

• Plascon for sponsoring 120 litres of paint for both the classroom interior and the school exterior.
