Edenvale High learners collect recyclable plastic to get wheelchairs for the needy

The school aims to collect an additional 150kg of plastic bottle tops and 30kg of bread tags.

Edenvale High School’s Grade Eight and Nine learners are on a mission to collect enough recyclable plastic for two wheelchairs to be donated to those in need.

Challenged by the technology department, learners collected 300kg of plastic bottle tops and 20kg of bread tags.

Edenvale High said the learners gave generously and they were proud of their contributions.

The school aims to collect an additional 150kg of plastic bottle tops and 30kg of bread tags.

The additional 170kg of recyclable plastic will generate enough money for another two wheelchairs to be donated.
