Retired astronaut visits St Andrew’s School

USA retired astronaut Nicole Stott visited St Andrew's School for Girls.

St Andrew’s School for Girls hosted retired NASA astronaut Nicole Stott for a talk at their school.

Fun was had by all with learners dressing up and prizes handed out.

The school marketer, Brandon Townsend, said, “She left the audience in awe with stories of her journeys into space.”

Stott’s path to becoming an astronaut was not without its challenges.

Like many aspiring space explorers, she faced rigorous training, demanding physical tests, and a constant need to prove herself in a field dominated by men.

However, her unwavering determination and passion for exploration propelled her forward.

Stott continues to inspire others with her remarkable journey.

Whether speaking at schools, engaging in community outreach, or participating in initiatives that promote STEM education, she encourages young minds to dream big and pursue their passions, regardless of the obstacles they may face.

The school thanked Stott and Steve Sherman from Living Maths, for bringing her out from the United States.
