Gerin rewarded with SA colours, competes at KSI World Champs

Giuliano, a brown belt student, was rewarded for his efforts by being selected to participate in the 12 to 13 year old boys kata and 12 ti 13 years old boys kumite.

Crawford Bedfordview, Grade Seven learner Giuliano Gerin received his South African colours and was selected to join the South African squad of fighters who competed in the 20th KSI Karate World Championships in July this year.

The KSI Karate Championship, held biannually, is hosted by participating countries selected worldwide.

This year, South Africa hosted this international event in Cape Town from July 10 to 15.

Giuliano, a brown belt student, was rewarded for his efforts by being selected to participate in the 12 to 13 year old boys kata and 12 ti 13 years old boys kumite.

He walked away with a bronze medal for kata and was placed fifht for kumite. for the Kumite.
