Harper Road bridge network still a traffic problem in Bedfordview

Officials speak on their experience with traffic in Bedfordview

Several motorists have spoken out about traffic congestion in the Bedfordview area. The NEWS asked SAPS officials about their personal experiences during peak traffic in the area.

Lt Col Eric Mhlongo: “I experience congestion coming down North Reef Road into Bedfordview. There usually is a lot of traffic on that road.”
Sgt Aiden Billings: “I travel from Primrose to Bedfordview. There usually is no traffic problems coming to Bedfordview, but motorists leaving Bedfordview seem to experience more congestion.”
Capt. Sam Masehela: “I leave very early in the morning to come to Bedfordview from Edenvale. I miss most of the congestion in the mornings, but I have experienced congestion at the Harper Road Bridge recently.”
Sgt Beverley Catelle: “The traffic is fine in Bedfordview. The only issue I experience is driving through the Harper Road Bridge network in the mornings. There is a lot of congestion.”
