EDITOR – I would like to advise you of an incident that happened to me on March 20 in the afternoon, while returning home from work.
I had a bit of car trouble on my way home from work.
I was stuck on Modderfontein Road, just past the Edenvale Hospital.
Due to the fact that I was alone, I really could not do anything to my vehicle, despite me holding up traffic.
Some of the drivers, who came past me, were hooting and some were swearing at me although I had my hazards flashing.
There were two men in a white 4×4, who eventually stopped and asked if they could assist me.
To cut a long story short, they helped me move the vehicle off the road and into the emergency lane.
Unfortunately, I was in such a state that I never asked them what their names were, but I would like to say thank you for your assistance.
I am very grateful that you came along when you did.
It just goes to show that there are still people in Edenvale who care and assist when needed, and I hope you see this letter.
LIZ GRAY,
EDENVALE.
r Letter received on March 21.
