Worker leaves Modderfontein post office after years of service

After 15 years serving this community, I find that I no longer have the will or energy to continue in this demanding but rewarding occupation.

EDITOR – It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter to advise all my dear friends and acquaintances in Modderfontein and the surrounding communities that I have decided to leave the Modderfontein Post Office for pastures new.

After 15 years serving this community, I find that I no longer have the will or energy to continue in this demanding but rewarding occupation.

So, having made that decision, I need to thank everyone for their wonderful attitude and sometimes endless patience. They were much more than just customers, they became friends who I valued dearly.

My husband Chris supported me and worked with me for 10 years during which he also established friendships within the community. He joins me in thanking everyone for their custom and community spirit.

CAROL NEL,

MODDERFONTEIN POST OFFICE.
