Dear Editor – On December 29 I went to the spares shop to buy some parts for my bakkie.
While inside, a lady rushed in saying she had seen some guys steal a black bag from a white bakkie and was looking for the owner.
I identified it as my bakkie and she identified herself as a police officer who was off duty.
She took me in her own car, then found members of the flying squad an told them what had happened.
With both vehicles we went after the suspects, the officers received information that the suspects had gone through the taxi rank and into some bushes.
The two brave flying squad officers didn’t hesitate to grab their rifles and go into the bushes looking for the suspects.
I would like to thank these officers and female officer, detective Sheila, from Edenvale SAPS, who didn’t hesitate to swiftly act and use her own vehicle to go after the suspects.
You were an angel, you were amazing, keep up the good work.
