EDITOR – Organisers of this year’s Bobbies Road Race apologises for any inconvenience caused during the race on February 2 at Greenstone Shopping Centre.
Unfortunately, due to a human error, there was a miscommunication on the part of the marshals in guiding the runners in the incorrect direction.
We as organisers would like to apologise profusely and we regret the mistakes made.
We are striving to give all runners a good experience, and this is a very unfortunate error which we will address and rectify in future.
Although the number of participants slightly declined from last year’s race, we are striving to see the numbers grow again next year.
We had a few runners who were unhappy and we are addressing their issues and complaints to the best of our ability and striving for a mutually satisfying outcome.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Despite some negative feedback, we have also received overwhelming positive feedback from the runners who participated in the event.
We would like to thank Greenstone Shopping Centre for accommodating our event and the assistance of all our suppliers, volunteers and the community. Without you we will be unable to host this event every year.
The organisers give thanks to everybody who contributed to Edenvale SPCA, which is the official charity of the races.
We have successfully hosted this event at Greenstone Shopping Centre for the past six years and look forward to making the Bobbies Road Race a successful event in years to come.
