Edenvale skater shares his passion for the sport

Jordan Bennett (18) shares his skateboarding journey.
The Edenvale resident has been skating for almost six years and shows no signs of slowing down.
He was introduced to the sport by his brother and cousins who used to skate together.

From there he started watching skate videos on YouTube.
“I saw all the tricks that people were doing and thought it looked exciting. I was excited to learn, even though I had to practise for a year just to get used to the board.”
For Jordan, the sport serves as more than just a recreational activity. It is a way to escape reality.
He finds it exciting to master the tricks like hitting the rails and ledges.
“You have to be creative to be an exceptional skater. There are different types of tricks and stunts that one can do.”
His dream is to be a professional skater.
