An Edenvale golf player has claimed five titles in one season.
Mr Drew Roelofsz became the first player to win the IGT tour five times in one season, since two-time Sunshine Tour champion Mr Danie van Tonder graduated the country’s premier development Tour with 10 victories in 2011.
Mr Roelofsz (23) said his main goal for the Race to Qualifying (Q) -School was to try to get himself in contention every week and to try and win a few.
“I’m so pleased to hit this form before the Sunshine Tour’s Q-School next month. I had a chance to win my fifth last week, but two bad shots on the back nine cost me.
“I’m really glad I completed the job this week. I’ve won at two of the three courses we have left to play in the Race to Q-School, so I am really positive.
“I’m definitely looking for another trophy,” said Mr Roelofsz.
