Swimmers prepare for national competition

Swimmers from the St Andrew’s Dragons Club competed in the Central Gauteng and Eastern Gauteng championships which were held during December.

The swimmers excelled and brought home 83 medals.

Yasmin De Goede represented the club at the EGA Champs and obtained five medals.

Jayden Trollope, Craig Groenewald and Caitlin Lewington flew the club’s flag high at the CGA Champs, receiving eight medals each.

“We are exceptionally proud of all our swimmers who added to the total medal count of eventually 83 medals,” said Ms Lisa Trollope.

She said the swimmers underwent extensive training during December and early January in preparation for SA Nationals (Level 3).

The event will take place in Port Elizabeth in March this year.
