Club seeks to bowl over prospective members
The club will recruit those who are interested in becoming lawn bowlers.
The Edenvale Bowling Club is about to embark on a recruitment campaign and they are after you.
The club will recruit those who are interested in becoming lawn bowlers.
Mr Colin Winton, a member of Edenvale Bowling Club, said bowling is a sport with no age restrictions and the club is offering free coaching classes.
The classes are held every Saturday from 9:30am.
Mr Winton advised people who are interested in joining the club to go to the Edenvale Bowling Club.
“Just pop around but wear tekkies or bare feet as you play. The club will provide you with bowls. You could become a social member. This allows you to use the club’s panoramic bar/lounge and eating facilities. You can attend all social functions but you must become a full member to play bowls,” said Mr Winton.
The club held its monthly sponsored trips competition on January 15. The competition will start at 1:30pm for 2pm.

The winners for December were overall, Mr Sean Waters, Mr Barry Brenner and Ms Noreen Brenner.
The runners-up were Mr Harold Muller, Ms Kathy Venter and Mr Abraham Masiteng.
Second-session winners were Ms Sandy Gladwin, Mr Colin Gladwin and Ms Peggy Willson.
Prizes were sponsored by Brazen Head (Edenglen) and Ocean Basket (Eden Meadows).
