Dojo brings home 18 medals

"This is always one of the most exciting and nerve-racking events of the year.”

Eighteen medals were won by the SA JKA Edenvale dojo at the annual SA JKA National Championships.

The championships were recently held at Ellis Park and were host to over 2 000 participants of varying ages, levels and experience.

“This is always one of the most exciting and nerve-racking events of the year,” said Sensei Brad Korras.

“Karateka are given the opportunity to compete against members of dojos from all over the country. The competition is tough, but the rewards are more than worth the effort,” said Sensei Korras.

Seven of the 18 medals won by the Edenvale dojo were gold, with the medals being awarded for various categories in the competition.
