Jeppe Girls to host 5km fun run

Residents are invited to join all the athletes who didn’t make it to Rio de Janeiro, and those who run and walk for fun, at the annual Jeppe Olympic five kilometre fun run on Saturday, August 13.

The race will start at 8am at the Jeppe High Schools for Girls’ main school building and will finish on the lower sports grounds.

Families, friends and dogs on leashes are welcome.

Corporate teams are also welcome.

Dress code for the event is carnival style and the race entry is R40 per person.

This year the race will be followed by a family fun day from 9am to 2pm.

Those visiting can look forward to food stalls and live entertainment.
