Edenvale and Tanzanian swimmers join forces

The Piranha swimmers all swam personal bests, qualifying in 17 finals.

Five swimmers from ESP Aquatics recently competed at the Eastern Aquatics Level Three Regionals held in Germiston.

The five members of the Piranhas team swam well and partnered with the Tanzanian team coached by Alex Mwaipasi and managed by Inviolata Itatiro.

The Piranha swimmers all swam personal bests, qualifying in 17 finals.

Clayton Malaza won one gold and one silver medal in the four finals that he qualified for.

Mikayla Pon swam six finals, Oyama Malaza three finals and Annebel van Wyk four finals.

The Tanzanian team swam well, with Natalia Ladha winning a gold medal in the 200m backstroke.

Swimmers from Tanzania included Nabeel Gahhu, Ria Save, Peter Itatiro, Natalia Ladha, Sophia Latiff, Aravind Raghavendran and Isabelle and Niamh Powell.
