Edenvale winter baseball begins
For players who want to join the team, training is on Tuesdays from 5pm and Saturdays from 9.30am.
Edenvale Giants and Imps Baseball Club did not let the Easter holiday slow them down as practice for the winter league continued on April 21.
The social league started on April 28 and the Major A League will commence on May 12 for the baseball club.
The club looked forward to the African South Zone Championships in Boksburg on April 27 to 29.
Matches were between the South African, Zimbabwean and Lesotho baseball teams at the Cardinals Baseball Club in Boksburg.
Imps Boys Jaryd White, Regan Panzenberger, Jarryd Taylor and Josh Mitchell were selected to play for the u-18 Baseball World Cup.
Edenvale baseball player Brad Erasmus from the Giants A Team was selected for the SA national team.
“We are proud of the boys. All champions wear green and gold,” said coach Keith Terieira at the Edenvale Sports Club.
