Audition for South African Mzanzi Ballet graduate programme
Auditions for the South African Mzansi Ballet’s (SAMB) 2014 graduate programme will be held on October 12.
The auditions will take place at 10am at the SAMB studios in the Joburg Theatre in Hoofd Street, Braamfontein.
The programme is a dream year for any post-matric aspiring dancer. It offers an opportunity to train for six months or a year with a professional ballet company and experience first-hand the career of a professional ballet dancer.
The course exposes the graduate to the world of the professional stage and successful applicants will participate in the professional company’s classes, rehearsals and productions of a high professional standard.
The audition will consist of an audition ballet class. The audition should be completed by 12noon.
Women should be dressed in pink tights and leotards and men should be dressed in T-shirts to enable the panel to clearly view their work.
