If you want to participate, be at Stoneridge Centre between 6am and 7am to register. The run/walk kicks off at 7am.

“Your R30 entry fee will be donated to Cupcakes of Hope and you’ll get a free cupcake at the end of the race and there are loads of spot prizes from our generous Stoneridge Tenants,” said Annamarie.

The second annual Little Miss Cupcake Showcase starts at 11am in the Piazza (Food Court). Registration starts at 9am.

Little girls from three to eight years old are welcome to enter this fun and adorable showcase. “It’s not a pageant, it’s all about the fun and cuteness whilst raising funds for children with cancer. The little contestants will Pass on Balloons of Hope whilst strutting their stuff on stage,” she said.

There will be prizes for the chosen Little Miss Cupcake and for first and second Little Miss Cupcake princesses. Five more contestants will receive prizes for their best smiles and being brave to get on stage. All contestants will be rewarded with little goody bags for their participation and get a tutu and t-shirt to participate in for free. No make-up is allowed.

“It’s ultimately about raising funds for children with cancer. If you’ve been here before you will know that you cannot resist the temptation to get more than one and to choose which one, or rather which ones are a challenge alone. The colourful display of cupcakes galore is truly a mouth-watering affair and a beautiful fun day not to be missed. There will be loads of family fun and entertainment the whole day,” said Annamarie.
