Edenvale rapper Luthabo Ndlovu ‘PropagandaSA’, is set to release his first music video and second single this year.

“I want to go back to my roots this year,” said Ndlovu.

“I was living the wrong life and drinking too much, because of that my music started to change.”

As a result of his lifestyle, Ndlovu had attracted the wrong fans.

“Many of the fans wanted me to perform eccentrically,” said Ndlovu.

To please his fans Ndlovu began swearing and living the “fast and dangerous lifestyle” of a rapper.

To change his behavior Ndlovu quit his job in October and focused solely on his music.

He said since then his music has become deeper and speaks from the heart.

“Save Me explains the life I was leading and the change I needed to become better,” said Ndlovu.

The drastic change seems to have paid off for the rapper.

Since he began rapping from the heart his record label, Propaganda Machine, has received more support.

“It’s good to finally see the results of my hard work and sacrifices,” said Ndlovu.

Besides changing his music Ndlovu hopes to start a youth empowerment programme, Save the Youth, at local high schools.

“The Save the Youth campaign will see me talking to learners at local schools about the dangers of drugs and how they can affect your talent and your choices in life,” said Ndlovu.

At the moment he has only started working with Edenglen High School.

Once he has established the campaign Ndlovu hopes to work with the Edenvale SAPS and the South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (Sanca).

“I have always wanted to inspire and help other people,” said Ndlovu.

“By becoming a better artist I will be able to help those in need.”

To mark his musical achievements, a launch party will be held on March 30.

Fans can look forward to Gz music video on Channel O, MTV Base and Soweto TV.

Save me, Ndlovu’s second single will be released at the launch party.
