Children join SAPS in march against abuse
School children joined the Brakpan police in a march against women and child abuse, on Friday, last week.
The march was attended by dozens of children from several local schools, as well as community members, who wanted to show their support in the fight against women and child abuse.
The throng marched from Wenden Avenue, in the CBD, to the police station, in Gardiner Avenue, and proudly displayed posters and banners condemning abuse.
Members of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department safely escorted the procession through town.
The crime awareness initiative was organised by the Brakpan SAPS Women’s Network and Men For Change.
