Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend (March 27, 28 and 29):

Friday

In Nestadt Street, a house was broken into and a television set, DVD player and carpentry tools were stolen.

Along Voortrekker Road, a man was busy at an ATM at about 6.50am. When the money came out of the machine, two robbers appeared. One of them pushed the man and the other stole the money from the ATM, before they fled the scene on foot.

In Victoria Avenue, a business was broken into and a compressor machine, four electric motors, a gearbox, building machine and spanners were stolen.

Saturday

A housebreaking occurred along Augrabies Avenue. A security company phoned the resident to warn him that the alarm had gone off. A laptop was stolen.

A machine used to test telephone cables was stolen from a parked vehicle along Olympia Road, Brenthurst.

Sunday

In Bottlebrush Street, Dalpark, a house was broken into and a television set was stolen.
