Sports day event in aid of abuse

Latter Harvest Ministries International will host a sports day event on November 8 from 9am.

The sports day, at the Charl Baard Stadium in Prince George Avenue, hopes to make a meaningful impact on the lives of men.

Although the day will mainly focus on men, families are also invited to attend the sporting activities.

“Our objective is to bring awareness to child abuse and the fight against domestic violence,” said past Zipho Mhlanga.

“This sports day event is a platform for us as men to come together and share our problems with others. Men tend to face many challenges, many of which they face on their own.”

A soccer tournament will take place during the day and there will also be guest speakers talking about child abuse, substance abuse, domestic violence and other social challenges communities might face.

For more information contact Mhlanga on 078 874 2130.
