Reminder: tariffs to go up from July 1

Residents will start noticing changes to their July monthly account statements.

Ekurhuleni residents and the business sector are reminded that as from  July 1 tariffs will increase as announced by the MMC for Finance and Economic Development Clr Doctor Xhakaza when he tabled the 2018/2019 budget speech.

Residents will start noticing changes to their July monthly account statements.

Tariffs have increased as follows:

  • Assessment rates: 6.9 per cent
  • Water: 12.96 per cent
  • Sanitation: 9 per cent
  • Refuse removal: 7.5 per cent
  • Electricity – between 5.32 per cent and 8.5 per cent (subject to usage)
