Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A home along Prince George Avenue was burgled of cash.

* Groceries, an iPhone and other valuables were stolen from a home in Abramowitz Street, Brakpan North.

* A bag containing clothes, personal documents and two cellphones was stolen from a vehicle parked along Wenden Avenue.

* A shop along 12th Road, Maryvlei, was broken into.

No further information was provided.

• Saturday – An elderly Anzac woman was attacked by two intruders in her home.

The incident took place at around 3am and the victim, who lives in a flat on the Sports Way property, was reportedly stabbed with a screwdriver.

The robbers, who also broke into the main house, fled with TVs, cellphones and electronic items.

Further information will be provided as it becomes available.

• Sunday – No priority cases were reported at the time of publication.

Other cases:

• Thursday – A car parked at an address along Bacher Street in Brakpan North was stripped of its wheels.

* Cellphones, cash and a TV were stolen during a break-in at a home in Pythian Street, Brakpan North.

* A blue Toyota Tazz was stolen from Carnival City.

• Business robbery: 2
