The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (August 28 to 29):

Cases reported:

Arrests:

• Possession of drugs: 1
• Speeding: 6

Armed robbery:

• A male commuter was robbed of his cellphones and cash in a taxi yesterday (Tuesday).

Shortly after boarding the white Toyota Quantum near Helderwyk Estate at about 6.45am, the victim was threatened with a gun and searched.

He was robbed of his belongings and dropped off in Sunward Park, Boksburg.

Burglary:

• Devon Street, Dalview.

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: Tools and a generator.

• Derby Avenue.

The residence was burgled yesterday.

Stolen: A surveillance system.

• Stoffberg Avenue.

The home was broken into yesterday.

Stolen: A laptop, tablet and toolbox.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• On Monday, a white Volkswagen Polo TSI was stolen from an address along Van der Walt Road in Dalview.

• A black Gomoto 125cc motorbike was stolen from Taft Avenue yesterday.

Theft out of motor vehicle:

• A set of golf clubs, a laptop and other valuables were stolen from a car parked at Mall@Carnival yesterday.
