The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (September 26 to 27):

Cases reported:

• Fraud: 3
• Business burglary: 1 (Apex case)
• Possession of drugs: 1
• Drunk driving: 1
• Shoplifting: 2
• Theft of motor vehicle: 1 (Apex case)
• Theft: 2
• Common robbery: 1
• Tampering with infrastructure: 3
• Residential burglary: 1

Arrests:

• Possession of drugs: 1
• Drunk driving: 1
• Shoplifting: 2

Common robbery:

• A man was assaulted and robbed of his cash and cellphone at the informal settlement along Location Road yesterday (Wednesday).

The victim was attacked outside a spaza shop by a group of men at around 11.30am.

The thugs demanded money and assaulted the victim with bricks.

Burglary:

• Privet Avenue, Leachville.

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: Jewellery and a TV.
