According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (March 27 to 28):

Cases reported:

• Residential burglary: 1
• Assault GBH: 1
• Theft: 2
• Shoplifting: 1
• Tampering with infrastructure: 1
• Contempt of court: 1
• Theft from motor vehicle: 1 (Benoni case)
• Theft out of motor vehicle: 1
• Malicious damage to property: 1
• Fraud: 1

Arrests:

• Shoplifting: 1
• Business burglary: 1

Burglary:

• Prince George Avenue, Brenthurst.

The break-in took place on Tuesday.

Stolen: A handbag and a cellphone.

Theft out of motor vehicle:

• A radio was stolen from a bakkie parked at an address along Boundary Road in Brenthurst yesterday (Wednesday). A trailer on the premises was stripped of two wheels.
