How to make heavenly hot chocolate

There is nothing better than a cup of delectable hot chocolate on a cold winter's day.

To make your own hot chocolate, try this recipe (makes four cups of hot chocolate).

You will need:

• 128g of semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate, chopped.

• A quarter cup of water, room temperature.

• Three tablespoons of hot water.

• Three cups of hot milk.

• Sugar to taste.

• Whipped cream, if desired.

What to do:

• In a double boiler over low heat, combine chocolate and a quarter cup water until melted, stirring occasionally; stir until smooth.

• Remove top of double boiler pan from the bottom. Whisk in three tablespoons hot water. Pour into pitcher or divide among individual four mugs.

• Either stir three quarters of a cup of hot milk into each mug or serve milk in a separate pitcher.

• Pass sugar and whipped cream in separate bowls and add to taste.
