Loadshedding: Eskom to implement both Stage 1 and 2 on Monday

Eskom said the country's power system remained unreliable and vulnerable.

Rolling blackouts continue today with Stage 1 from 8am until 4pm, and Stage 2 until 10pm.

Eskom started Stage 1 loadshedding yesterday (September 6), which lasted until 10pm last night.

The power utility plans to repeat this pattern on Tuesday, with a high likelihood for Wednesday as well.

Eskom said the country’s power system remained unreliable and vulnerable. Breakdowns amount to 9 272MW of capacity, adding to the 6 314MW currently out on planned maintenance.
