Fight ends in fatality
An eyewitness reported the deceased later left the shebeen with two people and a fight ensued.
Brakpan police were summoned to the Plastic City informal settlement during the early hours of Sunday morning after a 21-year-old man was fatally stabbed.
Local police were notified about the incident at 03:20.
Upon arrival, police officers were met by the victim’s brother who pointed out the body, which was covered with a blanket.
The man told police he had been at a shebeen with his brother earlier but had left around 02:00 and had gone home.
An eyewitness reported the deceased later left the shebeen with two people and a fight ensued.
The murder weapon was not found on the scene. The body was taken to the Springs Mortuary and a murder docket has been opened.
