The City of Ekurhuleni said that although it envisages interrupting the electricity supplies on a specific date and time, the energy department will as far as reasonably practicable, put in every effort to minimize the outage period.

“No guarantee can be given that the power will remain off the entire time specified and customers are therefore warned that the power supply must be considered ALIVE the whole time.

“No guarantee can however be given that the deadline will be met to finalize the planned maintenance work. Work will however continue until the power is restored.

“All electrical networks and equipment must be regarded as being electrically alive at all times while the work is being carried out.”
