Join the Brakpan SPCA’s ‘Tea with a Paw-Pose’ fundraiser at Cosy Corner at 14:00. The guest speaker will be Nicole Dickson, with students from Artklop Kreatief as the guest stars. There will also be live music by Danie van der Westhuizen. Tickets cost R120 per person. Those interested in hosting a table can contact the SPCA to make a booking by emailing fundraising@brakpanspca.co.za

Die East Rand Children’s Haven te Muriel Brandstraat 5 bied ‘n mark aan vanaf 9:00 tot 14:00. Daar sal ‘n groot verskeidenheid stalletjies wees asook vermaak en heerlike eetgoed. Die toegang is slegs R1 per persoon.
• Muriel Brand skool bied ‘n damestee aan om fondse in te samel vir vanjaar se matriekafskeid. Die geleentheid word by die skool gehou en begin om 10:00. Die gasspreker is Marinda Aucamp en kaartjies kan verkry word dur vir Leonie te kontak by 011 817 9300.
• Die NH Kerk se “Open Table Market” vind vanaf 10:00 tot 17:00 plaas op die hoek van Dirk Van Der Hoff en Colliery strate in Kenleaf. Die mark bied ‘n platform vir lede van die gemeenskap om hul handgemaakte items te verkoop.

Join the Just Wheels Club for the ultimate trucks, street rods, and engines on display from 09:00. Car enthusiasts and visitors can look forward to an exciting showcase of cars, along with food stalls, children’s entertainment and a flea market. Visitors are encouraged to bring donations of dog and cat food in support of the local SPCA. The Just Wheels Club is located at 169 Kitzinger Avenue in Dalview.

Die Kerk van God van Profesie, Emmanuel Bediening, te Hamiltonlaan 26, bied ’n gemeenskapsuitreik aan van 10:00 tot 14:00. Gratis tweedehandse klere en ander items sal beskikbaar wees op ’n “eerste kom, eerste kry”-basis. Almal is welkom.

Die NG Kerk Brakpan-Noord Gemeente bied ‘n gholfdag aan om 11:00 by die State Mines Gholfklub. Belangstellendes word uitgenooi om in te skryf deur 067 704 3439 te skakel. Persone wat belangstel om die dag op een of ander wyse te borg kan 082 373 4983 skakel.
General
• The Golden Oldies Social Club meets every Thursday from 08:30 to 11:30 at the Brakpan Methodist Church, corner of Park Street and Northdene Avenue. Open to anyone over 55 with spare time. The club does various crafts, plays board games and is planning a breakfast outing this year. For more information, contact Ursula Edwards on 082 491 6217.
• Brakpan parkrun is open every Saturday at 07:50 at the Brakpan Sports Centre (opposite the library). Runners, walkers and volunteers are welcome. It is free; bring your running tag/barcode. You run, walk or jog at your own pace.
• Die Brakpan-tak van die Vroue Landbou-unie vergader elke tweede Dinsdag van die maand om 10:00 by die Just Wheels Motorklub-klubhuis, Kitzingerlaan 169. Belangstellendes kan Elsabe Grobler by 082 891 4514 kontak.
• A second-hand clothing sale takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 08:00 to 11:30 at the NG Kerk Brakpan-Oos, corner of Boundary Road and High Street. Get good-quality clothing at discount prices. Call Hester Bosch on 083 307 0649.
