House robbery in Kenleaf sees woman and child overpowered

Two intruders forced entry into a Kenleaf home and restrained a woman and child.

Brakpan police are investigating a house robbery in which a woman and child were tied up while intruders ransacked the home.

According to information received from local SAPS, the incident took place at an address along Ernest Road in Kenleaf on April 10.

The woman was cleaning inside the house at around 11:30 when she heard the front door open.

When she turned around, she was confronted by a man who covered her mouth and instructed her to remain quiet or she would be harmed.

A second man then entered the home.

The robbers forced the woman into a spare room, where her hands and feet were tied with shoelaces.

The child was also brought into the room and tied up. The robbers proceeded to take various household items before fleeing the scene.
